Journals
In this section you can find out information about the BAD’s journals, the BJD, CED, and SHD. This includes information on how to submit papers, how to access the journals online, and more.
We encourage authors to complete the Think. Check. Submit. checklist here before submitting their research to any academic journal. The tool has been created by respected scholarly organisations, such as ALPSP, COPE, DOAJ, ISSN, to help authors identify trusted journals and publishers. The checklist is available in multiple languages. Think. Check. Submit. will help you to choose a credible journal for your submission, a journal which promotes research integrity, ethical publication standards and trusted research practices.
The short video linked below further explains the initiative.
British Journal of Dermatology
Founded in 1888, the BJD is one of the top-ranked dermatology journals in the world, publishing high quality papers to advance the understanding and management of skin disease with the goal to improve dermatology care globally and serve the needs of patients from diverse backgrounds.
Clinical & Experimental Dermatology
Clinical and Experimental Dermatology delivers excellence in dermatology education. It is the BAD’s education journal for practicing clinicians and dermatological researchers alike. It aims to advance the understanding, management and treatment of skin disease and improve patient outcomes, by incorporating CPD modules, original articles, reviews, case reports and clinicopathological cases.
Skin Health & Disease
Skin Health and Disease is the BAD’s newest interdisciplinary, international and open-access journal covering all aspects of dermatology from basic science, translational and clinical research. The overarching aim of the journal is to improve patient outcomes. All submitted papers undergo rigorous and fast peer review, as well as rapid publication times. All BAD members receive a 20% discount to publish in SHD unless it is a transfer from BJD or CED in which case they get an automatic transfer.
